Tired, very tired. I can’t believe it’s Friday tomorrow. The week goes so fast. Do you ever do the same things every day like tie your shoes and realize you just did it… seemingly 5 minutes ago, but was really yesterday, and you make a mental note to try to realize it tomorrow, and BAMN, it’s tomorrow, time to tie your shoes. Well that’s how I feel right now. All I ever say is, “I have so much to do.” But never get it done. I had a hard drive crash and while trying to use a different computer to rescue some of the files, it crashed. I have a 160GB hard drive with EVERYTHING on it and it took 2 days for it to find only 30GB of info able to be rescued and it was only about a fifth done and it crashed. So Now I’m backing everything up and getting ready to wipe everything. It’s taking so much time… but it has to be done. I keep realizing what was on it and what I have lost. Some are picture I’ll never retrieve. That’s why I should be using www.flickr.com You can store all your pics there and other can see them and it’s not that expensive, like 25$ a year and you can upload any size and any amount of pictures. Way worth it. Well, as usual, Brooke is in bed waiting for me and I have to put Lily away. If you don’t know who she is just go to the picture gallery and look under animals, she’s our Beagle! Talk to you soon!

Bom Dia! or Good Morning! I’m just practicing my Portuguese for our mission trip. If you haven’t hear about it yet you can go to www. brazilmissiontrip.com and check it out. Thanks so far to everyone that has donated, we (Brooke and I) are getting closer to our goal. Last time I checked we still needed about $1000. Of course we will always need prayers so keep them coming.
Some other big news is our job situations. Within the past month I decided to quit Wells Fargo. There are a lot of reasons but mainly because I want to start my own business and I just didn’t like the job. My plan was to get a part time job and start my business. When out looking for jobs while still at Wells Fargo I found an eBay store called eSell It. I walked in and asked if he was hiring and he basically hired me on the spot. It started out just a job listing items on eBay for walkin customers, but now I am networking the computers, installing new software and designing web templates and logos. It’s the best job I think I’ve ever had. Right now it’s not paying very much but it is totally flexible on any hours and it’s only part time. Just a couple days ago we found out Brooke got a job she applied for at Grand View College. She starts just one day after she is done at her work study job there. She will be in a different building as an administrative assistant. She will even get to hire some work studies under her. The best thing is we now have benefits as mine from Wells Fargo will run out at the end of the month. She is also getting paid a bit more than I was a Wells Fargo. Now I can use some of the money from working part time to pay for some computer equipment to start my business. Speaking of which, my new business is called Porter’s Multimedia. You can check it out so far at www.portersmultimedia.com Well it’s Memorial Day and we both have the day off. Brooke is still sleeping. She had surgery the other day from a mole that needed to be removed. The doctor said it was pre-cancerous so needed to be removed as soon as possible. Here’s a pic:
Everything is fine now but please pray nothing comes back. We have a follow up in 6 months.
Well now I’m going to get in the shower. I’ll try to write again tonight when the day is over to let you know how it went.

I’m so tired. I’m probably not gong to be able to write much. I’m going to beat Brooke to bed too. She is working on a report for college. It is so deep and pshycological that I can’t follow it. Amazing. Well I didn’t hear on that job yet today so tomorrow is the next best day to hear about it. I will be very excited if I get it but need to be prepared if I don’t. I just can’t imaging having to stay on the phones like this. I am so wore out since I got off at 9pm and have to be back at 7am, not fun. Well I’m off to bed, hope I can write again tomorrow.

Well I head off to work here in a little bit, just thought I’d write while I have a little time. I can’t believe I can’t keep up with this. I just never have anytime. I wish I could write everyday. I guess I’ll update you the best I can. Big thing this week is I had an interview last week with another department in Wells Fargo and I find out this week if I got it or not. I am very nervous… well that’s not the word, just excited to find out. I know that if God doesn’t want me there then I don’t want to be there, so we’ll see what he does. I just dread going to work and calling people all day for not paying their bills. I know a lot of people don’t like their jobs, but I’ve like all of mine but this one. I really like my team though and it would be hard to leave them. I will let you know when I find out.

Yesterday we had our Easter service and it was great. There were some problems with sound and things but I tried my best to focus on God and not the problems. I just get really frustrated when I know the potential our church has in this area but we’re not reaching it. And I know other people are getting distracted when that is the last thing you want. After church we went up to a park here in Ankeny and brought our cats. We had a little picnic and they really enjoyed it . Here’s a picture of Emma at the park.

We saw a lot of people there with their dogs and it made us start talking about getting a dog. We’ve talked before and I already had a # of some people in the paper that I wanted to call. There happened to be wireless internet in the area and I had my laptop so I signed on and got the #. There were from Loen, Iowa. We decided to take the cats home and drive down and see what they had. We knew we wanted a female and when we got there they had a new litter of Beagles. We picked this one and named her Lily:

She is the cutest and we can bring her home in about 3 weeks. I’ll post more pictures later. I have to get ready for work now but hopefully I can keep this up to date again… Bye!

Going to bed again, just thought I’d write before I went to bed. Brooke’s been in bed for a while now. I’ve been moving stuff around on www.kittenphotogallery.com I submited it to google today so we’ll see what happens. I need more people to add pictures of their cats to get it going. I checked with sxc.hu to see if it was ok to put some of their pics on my gallery and their user agreement said you can’t. But their stuff it high resoulution and I would be using low resolution and I would put a link to their site for the high res. I emailed them to see if it’s ok. Otherwise I’ll have to take them off :( Then I dont’ know where I’ll get pics except from users… We’ll see what happens. I think after this one gets going I could start a webcam site listing webcams. I better get to bed ’cause I’m helping Lucas tomorrow with the college ministry. Good night, and thanks Nathan for the comments!!!

Normal day at work… didn’t work until 11:00am so I got to sleep in and play on the computer a lot. I’m still working on the top banner for www.kittenphotogallery.com I need one more kitten and put some text at the bottome and it’s done. I took my laptop to work today and worked on it some there. I figure I have an hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks I might as well use them. I got stuff done I guess I wouldn’t have had done. I basically came home and Brooke was already in bed :( I downloaded a lot of pictures from www.sxc.fu which is a website for downloading free pictures of anything. You can submit pictures to it too. Basically I need some fill pictures until I get some other people to add pictures. It takes a long time to add them ’cause you have to download them, resize them, rename them, upload them, and put them in categories and add keywords… very time consuming but hopefully worth it. I’ve made a whole 40 or so cents on my banners but time will tell if it’s worth it or not. Everyone at work thinks it’s funny. It kinda is but it’s something that could really take off it you have the right site. Well I’m going to go to bed now and hopefully find the picture I want for my final picture for the banner in the morning. Goodnight!

I’m just going to write really quick because Brooke has dinner ready, but I wanted to let you know about a new site I started to see if I can make some extra money. It’s call www.kittenphotogallery.com you can upload pictures of your cat there and see others, the point is that it has some adds by google and I get paid for them, very kewl. I’ll let you know how it goes. We had sound today and all went well, praise God. I’ll write again when I have time. Time for Pizza!

I’ve heard more recently that people have been reading my blog and when I write on here I seem to get people saying they want more. The problem is I never have time for anything it seems. But if writing on here keeps me in touch with new and old friends then it’s worth it. Well I’m going to keep this short so it’s worth reading. I worked today for only 4 hours. That was a break. Brooke was really sick with the flu or something and I only have a little hint of upset stomach. She was down for a whole day at least but now is doing better. Unfortunatly it wasn’t what we though (morning sickness). I’ll keep you informed on that. Tomorrow I have the whole day off so hopefully I’ll have something interesting to write about. Tonight I added some ads to my website by google. They changed the add according to what’s on the page. I have it on the photo gallery and the webcam page, check it out and tell me what you think. I get paid for using them. K, Brooke’s in bed so I gotta go, Bye!

Another one of those long days. Defiantly a good day. Started off with being able to sleep in. That’s always good. And it’s always a good day when my wife makes pancakes, yummy. So we got up and got ready for the wedding of Elen Decleene and Stephen Moore. It was a beautiful wedding and we had fun helping out. We stopped and got batteries for the mics and then went to the church and started setting up the equipment. We video taped and did sound today. As you’ve read I created the slide show and set up their lights for the reception. It’s so fun being behind the scenes in something like that. We didn’t have any mess ups either. Everything went great. My next project is searching for the churches next digital camera. My cousin Brian suggested the Sony digital camera that records to CDs. I already love all the features it has and this it would be great. I’m writing up a review of it without getting to use one. So basically I’m using all the info I can gather on it. The biggest thing is that it has no media cards or doesn’t have to be plugged in to the computer. You can just put the cd in any computer and it’s ready to use. You can even uses rewriteable CDs. Anyway, I’ll have the review on my site later. So after the wedding we went home and got our van, luggage and kittens and headed to Brooke’s dad’s family Christmas in Chatfield, Minnesota. It was fun and I love this side of the family. We do the game where every one brings a gift and then puts them in the middle of the room. You draw numbers and you can either pick a gift or steal one someone else picked. It’s fun, ’cause you don’t know what the gift is until it’s opened. Anyway it’s fun to watch. Then we came back to Brooke’s dad’s and watched some TV and talked. Now we’re going to bed and I have no idea what’s happening tomorrow. I’ll let you know! Goodnight.

Starting with this morning, I went through the normal routine. This morning I had toast with peanut butter and I dunk it in hot chocolate milk. Mmmm. Ya know the other usual stuff, shave, start the car, clean out the litter box… Had a normal day at work, nothing new to talk about. I worked from 7am-11am. Drove home, waited for Brooke ’cause she had to work this morning too. We had lunch and then I finished a wedding slideshow for the Decleene-Moore wedding that is tomorrow. While I was working on that we watched Dr. Phil and Oprah. One of the days where both shows give out lots of stuff. Kinda kewl ’cause one show had all families of soldiers overseas and the other was all teachers. After that we we to the church to do the wedding rehearsal and had the dinner at the church. Food was good as always, thanks Stew. The bride thanked us in front of everyone which was really nice, we did do a few things for the wedding but I think the day should be all about them and not us. And they are a great Christian family so we definitely feel like we’re doing God’s work. I have so many other things to do too besides weddings that I just don’t know what to do next. My cousin is going to help me set up my own server here at home so I can start serving demos of my work and have all my files backed up. We’re using Linux which is like windows but it’s free. Sorry to all the hardcore Linux users, didn’t mean to say it’s “like” windows, I’m just saying that for the “user friendly” type people. Anyway, so then we come home and there are like 5+ Christmas bulbs and things all over the living room, angel hanging over, and tree branches all matted down. Naughty kittens. Then I fixed some pictures for Brian and talked to him for a while. Watched “That 70′s Show” and now I’m writing my blog for the day. We’re going to do the wedding tomorrow, and then head to MN for a Christmas tomorrow night with Brooke’s dad’s side of the family. Poor kittens have to stay home, hopefully the cams will work and I can see them from MN. It’s only one day so they will be ok. Well, hi to everyone that reads this. I’ve gotten 2 comments in the last week that people are reading this. Hope more do. This week they were David Andersen and Andrea Curtis. Thanks guys for reading my blog. Now I don’t feel like I’m sitting here wasting my time. Hope you guys enjoy it!
