Florida Trip 2021 – Day 6 – Friday – Siesta Key

On our last big day out we planned to go to the #1 beach in America, Siesta Key Beach. It’s our #1 also with sand the consistency of powdered sugar. We planned to eat out all day so we started with Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. I had to grab a picture of the sign because I grew up in Pine Island, Minnesota and always accidentally would find the town of Pine Island, Florida when searching maps. As far as I know, my Pine Island doesn’t have a Starbucks.

We started off on the beach right away which was pretty packed and very hot.

We headed into town on the trolley for lunch and found a restaurant called Island House Tap & Grill. Ashton and I got Lobster in our sandwich and tacos! Denver also started getting a crazy rash on his stomach from something, maybe sunscreen? We had to give him an allergy pill and it made him super sleepy! Pro tip: You can install an app to track the trolley. The app and riding the trolley are both free!

After some shopping and waiting for it to cool down a bit we headed back to the beach to catch the sunset. We FaceTimed my grandparents which was super special.

We ended the night like usual, with ice cream. This time we went to one of Brooke’s favorite places, Made In Rome Organic Gelato. She can eat many flavors because they’re dairy free!
