We Made it Through the Night

We had a pretty good night sleeping in the woods. We ate tacos, cleaned up dinner and took the kids up to the bathroom. We brought our food to the Suburban to keep it from animals. Our dog already ran off some raccoons. When we got backpack, the raccoons had already got into my survival back and stole some granola bars that were over 5 years old. 😡 At least they unzipped it instead of ripping the backpack! They woke us up a few times in the night trying to figure out how to get into our cooler and stealing baby wipes. We’re gonna put the cooler in the Suburban tonight. There was no rain and it even got cool in the night, down to 65°. We’re up and starting a fire and making breakfast.
